What started as a mission to bridge cultures through language took a very special turn this week. I had the distinct honour of being invited to the residence of the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, H.E. Mr. Christoph Retzlaff, for an evening dedicated to the DAAD Alumni community.

An Evening of High-Level Networking

The atmosphere was one of shared ambition and celebration. The event brought together graduates and professionals to celebrate as the DAAD Alumni Association/Community and more importantly to discuss the future.

H.E. Mr. Retzlaff spoke passionately about the opportunities available to those connected through German-Zimbabwean exchange programmes. Hearing about the roadmap for future collaborations was incredibly motivating for the work we are doing at German with Shaelle.
